sick babie

Hi need some advice. I have a baby chick about 8 week old
She has all her feathers puffed out, but she is not that active.
She has started poopin yellow greenish runny poop. any advice will
be welcome P.S. I took her away from the other babies. I have
her inside with on a heat pad.

and I'm sorry about your sick baby chick.

But I don't know any other help I can give but to keep her separated in a warm, dry place with food and water away from the other chicks, as you have already done, and maybe give her some sugar water? Also it would help if you gave more information about her symptoms, what she eats, the type of bedding you use, etc. That may help us help you.

she's in with about 20 more her age and 10-6 week olds
there in a fenced in area so they can see the big chickens.
they have a escape hole through the fence. there house
has shavin in the bottom and a little hay. i feed them chick
starter and i give them fresh water every day.but, can they
eat a poison plant. thay would make her sick. but, so far
nobody else is sick. i'm watching them every day. thanks
for the advice.

Mmmm...I don't know, but btw I wouldn't use straw as their bedding. Shavings are better. Straw is hollow so mites, lice, etc. can burrow into it easily.

Just remember not to let it suffer too long. If it's not getting better put it down.

Also remember- a sick chicken gets you..........

she's actually walk around alittle today and peckin at her food.
i think she's like the air cond. and the special treatment. lol.
i'll keep a good eye on her. thanks for the advice. what do you
put in there nest box? so, far i've never had any pest problems.
