I received my day old chicks from meyers hatchery yesterday by mail. 1 of the 4 did not survive the trip. 2 of the survivors are doing great. But the one little wheaten maran is fairly lethargic.
No pasty butt but just has no energy, cant seem to stay awake.
I syringe fed it some warm water eith nutri drench in it and offered it some grogel but it was not interested in that. So i had some Kefir and gave it about 1/2 cc of kefir and canned cat food. Which it did peck at by itself.

Anything else i can do to help this little one survive?

You need to give it warm sugar water. She has shipping stress, a sort of shock. The sugar, half a teaspoon to half cup water, will raise the glucose and she should be fine then. If you are in the US, buy Poultry Nutri-drench, a special formula just for sick chickens that will work very fast. Add a few drops to her sugar water.
