Yesterday I let my chickens out around 10:30am. It was a beautiful day; so I thought I would let them out of the run for most of the day. At 5:00 they were all happy and at 8:00 I saw a chicken sitting by herself. She did not look well. Her underside by her vet felt like it was filled with fluid. I called the vet and fifteen minutes later went to get her and she was dead. I took the bird to the vet that night she could not find anything wrong. She suggested that I take the the bird to MSU to get a necropsy. I took the chicken this morning. Hopefully they will find something; last month the same thing happened. Has anyone had a situation like this?
