I have one month old Mille fleur cochin chick, and she seems sick. Her feathers are very puffed up, she will eat but not drink, she cannot stand, and she is very underweight. I have tried grapefruit seed extract (GSE), yogurt, neutradrech, and she's on corrid. We put her inside (she's been inside for about a week now), and she's not getting better. We still do not know what disease she has, or how to make her better. Any suggestions?

What Corid strength are you mixing, and is she drinking it? Liquid Corid is 2 tsp per gallon, and powder is 1.5 tsp per gallon for 5-7 days. I would not give anything else while she is on Corid, but afterward, she should have vitamins and probiotics. Has she had any blood in her poops? If not drinking, I would syringe it to her or use a dropper, and you can give a drop or two of undiluted Corid. Here is some reading: http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2012/12/coccidiosis-what-backyard-chicken.html

She just started drinking. I have not given her anything else. I just figured out she does have cocci. There is no blood in her poops and she is improving.
