I have one chick (~ 3 weeks old) that I named Nugget that I'm really worried about. S(he) hasn't grown like the rest of the flock and is extremely wobbly. Nugget is eating and drinking but sways back and forth and has really poor mobility. Nugget doesn't seem to want to lay down and sleep, is always hunched standing up, and shaking. We have isolated Nugget and should be plenty warm under the heat lamp. Nugget is constantly chirping really loud, telling us something is wrong. The hatchery vaccinated against Marek's so I don't think that's the issue but I don't know what the problem is and if there is anything we can do to help Nugget get healthy. Thanks for your help!

Nugget has not gotten any better, nor any worse. Still no growth and difficulty walking. Is there any suggestions to help? I'd hate to do it, but should we cull this chick?

I have the same problem but mine is really bad and won't stand up I really need some help. I also noticed that its wings would not fold and it just stood there

Thank you Silkie lover! It might be AE... Problem with the diseases in this list is they almost all have no cures. Good luck to you too Ryan... Let me know if you find any hope.

Check out coccidiosis....sounds like it just might be it.

If so, you can get corrid at tsc and treat.
