My two yr old buff orpington is sick puffed up not eating. Not pooping either.layed an egg 2 days ago . Brought her in the house trying to give her fluids and cottage cheez and applesauce.ate a small amount.still no poop.tried worming her by putting corid in jug of water.

Bring her in..
Check her crop.
It should be squishy in the morning BEFORE she eats aka: empty. If not, feed her a chunk of coconut oil. If its cold it will clump but quickly melt with the warmth of your fingers, so be quick!
See if she will eat a scrambled egg.
Give her a warm soak in water. Talk sweet and relax her. See if she will poop.
Keep us posted and a picture of her and her poo will help us a lot.

Hi I live in nw Indiana...bitter cold snowy nw Indiana. I gave her two drops of corid this morning in about an hour she popped out green and white lumpy yuck and black stuff.( kinda looked like ground up blackberries ) immediately she clucked head up and tail up...i scoped her up out her in the run outside on thissunny day today.she went right for the test bowl and then layed an egg!! Whoo hoo!! Coccidia?? May bee.thank u!
