Hey BYC!
This is my first post as a new chicken ma, though I’ve been perusing and learning through y’all for a bit now.
My babies are 4 weeks yesterday (mixed flock) and just this morning Jepta has started seeming tired/lethargic in comparison to the other pullets. She does stil have bursts of energy and seems to be eating fine though not drinking if as much as everyone else. Here’s a video from tonight. I’m hoping she’s not sick and just tired but if she is sick I can’t figure out what it might be, poops look normal. I’ve linked a video and attached photos, Jep is the single sleepy gal in the video. Any insight to my situation would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks chicken friends!

Welcome to the BYC community! :frow

Feel her crop, is it swollen, hard or rather squishy?

Put her on a towel or similar to get a good look and take a picture of her droppings for us.

At 4 weeks already, have they at all been outside or exposed to natural sunlight for a few hours per day?

What exactly are you feeding including any treats etc.?

Hello! Have then been outside at all? Can you offer her undiluted nutri stench and a raw yolk. Get some food in her see if she perks up.

It looks pretty dark in the video, where are they housed?
Thanks so much for your reply! They do get to be outside for a few supervised hours each day. In the video they are in their grow out pen in the garage late last night. Albeit, it is darker in there, even with the doors open than I’d like. I will get some Nutri-drench at the store today.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I will get her on a towel this morning to take photos for you all. They do get to go outside for supervised playtime each day and have been eating Scratch & Pecks starter feed plus whatever they find to nibble outdoors and dried meal/soldier fly larvae as occasional treats. Feeling her crop this morning it is still full and rather squishy. Wondering if what er is going on with her is the cause of the bullying? She is definitely the main culprit. I appreciate your advice very much, thank you!!

I was wondering this immediately when I saw she was the only one with a full crop still this morning. Thank you so much for helping me suss out what her trouble is!

Okay, not that little miss has been secluded on towels all day I have some dropping pictures to share in hopes of ruling out coccidiosis. I’m hoping the wetter dropping is due to water & oil consumption.

I fed her oil (to the best of my ability, she didn’t love that) and massaged her crop and it feels and looks a little smaller but not much. She is also drinking LOTS of water so I do think this is an impacted crop issue based on my reading. I’ll try the oil and massage once more. Assuming I ought to continue to omit food from her secluded enclosure until this is resolved?
