My chick order just came in. All seem fine but one. The one chick is very weak barely moving, cold and covered in the hydration gel they put in for shipping. It's in the brooder now. I did get it to drink a little water. Anything else I can do?

Awe shes so cute! You're on the right track. Electrolytes, nutri drench and warming up. Can you offer some mash (starter feed with water,) and/or dip her beak in some egg yolk. A day of resting and all the right stuff from you usually does the trick. What's your brooder set up like?

So right now they are in a big bin with a heat platform, water ( that I am going to take out at night as I don't want them to drown in it... they are still loopy) and a little food dish. The chick in question seems to be doing a lot better already and is no longer lethargic. I really thought it was going to die. And turns out the blue on it is a way to mark its a male. They gave me a male packing peanut. All of them are drinking and eating. Hoping this is a good sign.
