Sick chicken help please.

Mike 10 I think your pullet could possibly have coccidiosis.  She has the classic "puffed up" posture they get.  Other symptoms are poor appetite, weakness, ruffled feather, and diarrhea with or without blood.  Treatment is Corid or amprollium (from the cattle medicine section of feed stores) in the water.  Dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 5-7 days.  Get it right away, and if she is not drinking give her some with a dropper.  The liquid can be given undiluted 2 drops now and 2 drops tomorrow.  After 5-7 days, give them probiotics and vitamins in the water.  Treat all birds.

Ok I saw a powder that is for that not sure what was the name of it but I got oxytetracycline. Antibiotic. She drinks water and does eat a bit. Ate a bit of grass and other green a bit. I went out there before they went to bed and looked like she pooped a white or yellowish liquid. I'm sure it's not pee what could that be? But if it is coccidiosis I will go for the powder tomorrow if she seems worse. I did give them vitamins and electrolytes in water. Thanks for your response hopefully she gets better. But please respond if you know about the yellowish liquid. Is she getting her sickness out or is getting worse..

Corid (amprollium) comes in powder or liquid. Another brand name is Ampromed. It could be from coccidiosis, but posting a picture of a typical poo will help. White in the droppings is urates from the kidneys.

How will I know will she get worse? She eats of my hand and drinks water her tail is up when she walks and goes crazy when finds a worm. It's rainy out here though when she sits her tail is down. Not the other though? Is it too cold or a flu. One of my other chickens sits and leans all the way to one side like his wing down on one side. He barely walks seems really lazy. Eats and drinks fine as well

If his one wing is down, it may be weak or paralyzed. Are both his legs okay? Did he have a Mareks vaccine? Treating them for coccidiosis with Corid will not hurt them if that's not a problem.

But he does it to either side which ever one he does leans down and wing goes down. I'll try and take a picture tomorrow. But his legs seem fine I'll stand him up put him in the yard he walks back and sits down. He seems to wobble a bit when walking like if his legs are weak but not sure he stands up and eats but likes to sit. No I don't think they did get mareks vaccine what is that for. Had a question. The antibiotic powder when mixed and given to them. Is it bad to give water with electrolytes and vitamins? But if it does not harm them I will treat them for it. With droid you said? What is the name of the stuff again? Thank you
