Sick Chicken Old Chicken

I hate to be pessimistic but if I see a comb like that I would be think internal organ failure.
Eh, maybe.....leghorn type comb on hen out of lay, looks like it may have frostbite on tips.

Thank you all for your support. Checked on her last night. Alert, but not better.

Checked on her again about 5am. She had voided her bowels (watery) and died. ☹️

Maybe I didn’t notice soon enough, I’m not sure. Anyway. Thank you again for your answers and time

Sorry for your loss. If you have time, keep the body cold, not frozen, and perform a necropsy to look at the abdominal organs. Many times we can take pictures of findings, and post them here for possible answers. And a professional necropsy by your state vet would be good as well. Here is a link where to contact them:
