If she's eating that's great news! Do you have a scale that you can weigh her on daily?I tried to upload a pic of her eye. Not sure if it worked or not. If it did...that's the best pic I could get. My phone cover has glitter in it and she kept trying to peck it.![]()
Its still looking better today...not totally crusted over, I can actually see her eyeball. She's just so off balance. I'm wondering if that can be attributed to weakness and will get better as she gains weight? She eats like a horse.![]()
Are there and pigeon breeders in your area? How about people that breed fighting birds? I ask because they might have some drugs you could try.
What type of chicken feed are you giving her?Not any that I personally know of, but I live in BFE Missouri.
She's been eating well through this whole ordeal, she'll eat anything you give her. I once had someone tell me (with a different sick rooster I had) that she'll give canned cat food to a sick bird that needs to gain weight for the extra protein. I have a can of EVO 95% animal protein dog food that I'm wondering if it's okay to give her. It's grain free. I don't know if it would be bad for her or not? I assume not since chickens eat anything.
The grower has more protein, so that's what I would feed her. Do you know how much she weighs?Nowhere near STL. I'm on the Arkansas border.
She's eating later pellets. She was on grower until about a week ago when I ran out and figured they're old enough now to eat layer. It's Nutrena Naturewise.
I could do the cephalexin. I was worried about over-medicating her.
