Sick chickens diagnosis and treatment

Sounds like the new birds may have brought in an illness.
You can try treating with an antibiotic like Tylosin to see if that helps.

Photos of the poop and birds would be good.

Look everyone over for lice/mites.
You mention seeing blood in the poop? Consider treating everyone for Coccidiosis and worms too. Corid and Safeguard both can be found at TSC.

Liquid Corid dose is 2tsp per gallon of water given for 5-7 days in a row.
Safeguard dose is 0.23ml per pound of weight given orally once a day for 5 day in row.
These can be given in conjunction with antibiotics.

How do I administer the Tylosin?

OK, then you would give that orally.

Dose for Tylan200 at 25mg/kg would be 0.056mg/ml per pound of weight given 3 times a day for 5 days.
Thanks. Any tips on how to best administer meds orally to chicken?

The article linked shows you how. I see roundworms in the poop, so I would also treat with the Safeguard.

I would definitely be cautious with these symptoms and watch your flock closely for developing symptoms and keep a closed flock for at least a few weeks until you find out what this is.

We had the same experience a few years ago with our original flock. We introduced 9-10 new laying hens that came from a local mennonite egg farm. We quarantined them and didn't see anything wrong with them so we introduced them to our original flock. We unknowingly introduced mareks and mycoplasma to our flock and slowly our original flock started deteriorating and dying off. The ones that didn't pass were culled sadly. Just be careful with these symptoms because they sound bad. Good luck!
