sick chicks three weeks old

Hello everyone,

I am not new to chickens, but am a new member to backyard chickens...anyway I just got some barred rock chicks and they are pooping blood...I have lost seven out of my 20 chicks since sunday.....I have put antibiotics in water and got them on medicated chick feed....They poop bloody stools and when they die it is like they lay down and go to sleep but just get weak and slowly stop breathing...I watched a few of the weak ones..I have not seen this before, so I am not sure what this is...the person I got them from said his are doing the same thing...Sad part is...the whole death process takes place in a matter of minutes.....any suggestions before the whole flock is gone because we are treating and anytime we see blood we clean where they are and put fresh wood chips in....thanks,

You need to treat for Coccidiosis. The med. feed is not powerful enough to cure them at this point.
