Sick chicks- UPDATE

It's the heat ... Those metal bins, as said in prior post, radiates the heat in there & you got 2 lamps .... I use plastic bins, heating pad (without the auto shut off). When I first started used a 40 - 60watt incandescent bulb w/a clamp on lamp, it was warm enough. Also you want the "heat" on one side when the opposite is "cool" so they will move from the heat as need.

I probably will end up removing the cardboard. This set up was set up today. The chicks have been dying before this- sorry I should have mentioned that earlier

I had one heat lamp and my room was cooking
I couldn’t imagine 2 going
They are tiny areas to have 2 lamps
Please look at how they are as far in the corner as they can get to get away from the heat and still can’t
We are all only trying to help you and to help save the rest of them
Take them all out and let them cool off give them luke warm Water
Yes I will remove the barricade. This was just set up like this today to bring them closer to the house so I can monitor them better. The old set up had one heat lamp and they were all together. They have been dying with the old set up

The way the chicks are huddled away from the lamp on both sides they prolly over heated raise the lamps higher and another thing dont ever trust those clamps they slide off the lamp even if they are tight...is there a reason for the divider?
My old set up had one heat lamp and them all together. I moved them apart because they all kept dying and some of the chicks are so little

If not dying of heat then prolly cocci

I definitely should have clarified first that this set up was just for a couples hours…😅😅 I got them sugar water and electrolytes. The only thing I think I can do now is hope they get better.
Yes everyone hopes for the best outcome for you. And with more information, more death can be preventable. You posted a request for help twice and in the other thread you mention vaccinating them.... For ?? Cocci? Marek's? Both? I just dealt with Cocci with 5 chicks, they didn't die thanks to the wonderful help I got here on BYC. It'd be great if you would indicate temp in brooder, previous setup and ambient temp in your unknown geography.

You did say I have two lamps in case one burns out
I’m trying to understand if this was just done why would that be the case ?
I really truly hope you can get to the bottom of this so you don’t loose anymore babies
It’s very heartbreaking
Is there any other info you could give they may help to figure it out
What they do before they die
Are you using cold water or warm ?
How old are they
How warm is the room they are in
Have they been eating normally
How is their poo
As much info as you can give will help others narrow it down so we can help

They are back in their normal brooder. They have one heat lamp. I’m using room temperature water. 1 week. Their poo gets stuck sometimes on them so I wipe it off but other than that it’s normal. They have been eating normally
