Sick duck

I have found a Cayuga that is just a few weeks younger than my drake. I thought that may be a good start for him until I can find more. I’m worried he will be agressive. He was always good with Rolley, but they grew up together from day 1. I have a way to separate them in the coop, but as far as the backyard they would be together all day unless I locked one in the coop, which I hate to do. I also don’t want to keep an adult duck in the house. I just feel so bad for my drake because he is wondering around my yard like he has no clue where Rolley is.

If you have a female available I'd say go for it. do you have a pen also beside the coop or a way to make a temporary pen so they can have a look not touch place for a few days for introduction? It shouldn't take long. I have used a dog xpen for temp space for intros and also have plastic poultry fencing and pointed fence poles so you can just stick them in the ground and remove when ever you want.

So the person at the hatchery called me this morning. They made a mistake on their inventory list and the duck I picked is actually a drake. So, before I decide on what to do, does anyone have an all male flock? What would be the pros and cons of only having two drakes?
