sick duckling

Your duckling may just need some extra help. Some infections do not transmit easily, either. Proper temperature, food, fresh water, exercise, ventilation, all matter so much to the little fragile ones.

And they can make it. It may not be anything you did, or you may need to make adjustments. From what you write, you seem to be heading in the right direction.

We care about critters and their people, and we can feel a bit anxious when we don't know enough about what's going on to offer more guidance. So please bear with us. An inexpensive thermometer like the kind you get at a pet store for reptile cages would really help. There may be something around the house already that would work.

Someone told me to take it outside for fresh air. I will post pictures here in a few I am on my way home. Also it acts sleepy. It stays under the lamp too. The other is 2 times its size. I will do a temp check when I get home. I feel terrible because I don't know what to do. It is one of my favorite baby's I have. I am looking into vitamin water but the stores are closed now and I don't know what else to get. Is there anything I can get from the grocery store tonight to give it. I am in the country where we have like 5 store and I'm a hour away from a tsc

What is poly VI sol? Never heard of this. I think I will go get pedialyte

This breaks my heart to say but I came home today and found it dead. My other duckling is crying and I don't know what to do. Should I stick a chick in with it? I am so very heart broken.

For now, an unbreakable mirror and a stuffed toy will help. It needs duck company. Think about how you might accomplish that and let us know your thoughts.

So sorry for your loss.

Do you have a stuffed animal that may comfort it, you can try a chick but the chick may peck on it. also if you have a mirrir that doesn't have sharp edges where he can see his self will also help, then maybe go back to TSC and see if you can get it a buddy. Please let us know how it is.

Glad you hear A.

I am planning in buying some more ducklings. I am wanting some more blue swedish. If anyone has any and live near Knoxville that would be great. I will have to find a stuffed animal. I just hope it stops crying. I have chicks that's why I ask.
