MissPrissy - I have lost 16 total so far. That's including the cockerels that were culled, which I would have never culled like that if it wasn't for the Coryza. That's why I'm counting them as a loss, because in essence, they are a loss. My flock number stands at 33 as of right now. After they have all had their course of the Gallamycin, then get their vaccinations, any showing signs of illness have to be culled. I'm hoping my numbers don't drop to much more and I'm really hoping and praying that my little girls Silkies will not be carriers.

Heaven help us all if any of those have to be culled.

That is a large number and I asked because so many people don't think you can be hit hard with 'just one little chick' added to their flock without proper biosecruity measures.

I am sorry this happened. Those chickens are very lucky you are willing to work so hard to save their lives.

Thank you MissPrissy.

I do love my chickens. They aren't only considered livestock here, or I probably would have culled them all and started over like the state vet told me to do. I am just grateful there is a way to help them get better! People do need to realize that this can happen and will without proper biosecurity methods.

Have been thinking about you and your chickens, lots of prayers are still coming your way. So glad to be kept informed.

Is there anything I can do for you?

Your thoughts and prayers are just what I need! Nobody is sneezing today and everyone seems perky. Each day seems to keep getting better and better! I'll just be so happy when this all is in the past and done. At least I feel like we are on the road to recovery now. Once these chicks that are in the bator hatch tomorrow evening or Monday and they are out of here and remain healthy, I think I will be able to breath easier. I think that's what has my nerves tore up the worst right now. I don't need those babies to get sick for sure. Thanks again!

Before I left for church this morning I checked on the eggs in the bator and didn't have any pips. When I got home I was walking past the bator and heard a loud, "PEEP! PEEP!" I looked in the window and there sat a little bantam baby that had just hatched! I now have 5 more pips, but nothing on the Welsummers. I honestly don't know if any of those will hatch. I guess we will see.

All of the others are recovering nicely! The blue orps. eyes are looking much better and there is no sneezing what-so-ever! HOORAY! I just need to get these other babies hatched and out of here so they can stay healthy.

You told me that this would pass Cyn! I'm getting closer to the end of the tunnel anyways.
