My goose Puddles is ill and I have no vet in the area to help. She is lethargic and wobbly on her feet. She is drinking lots and is still eating small amounts of feed. She has not touched any grass or veggies for a few days. Talked to the people at the feed store they suggested giving her some Neo-chlor as a precaution but am not sure how much to mix in the water. Can anyone please help?

I am not familiar with Neo-chlor. And as a precaution for what? Is there any other symptoms? Runny poo? Watery eyes? Nasal discharge? Lumps or bumps where there should not be any? Etc,?

Neo-chlor has 2 antibiotics in it...neomycin and tetracycline. She has no lumps or bumps, when she eats her feed her poo is solid but she has been drinking a lot of water so it has gotten runny. The medication treats against ecoli and other bacteria in the digestive system and the tetra is a broad spectrum antibiotic. She doesn't have runny or watery eyes. I was away on holidays a week ago and it has rained a lot here and of course me not being here does not guarantee that my helper kept the bowls and food dishes as clean as I do could that have caused an issue....

My husband figured out the ratio of powder to water as per directions on the package, not sure if it will help. She is breathing fine just very weak and lethargic. She is still drinking water will try some romaine lettuce this evening.

Thanks....still no change. She is very weak but still is drinking and knows enough to hiss at me when I enter her space. Doing the best I can for her prayers would be greatly appreciated :(

Have you already started her on the meds? I hope she pulls through. Do you think she may have eaten something toxic or gotten hold of any metal? we have info on flushes for toxins for metal she would need an xray.

I put a low dose of meds in her water she is still drinking and did eat lettuce that I put in her bowl of water. I really can't see her getting into anything in our yard it is really bird friendly but as I said we were away on vacation and not to sure how things were done while away. We have had record amounts of rain here in Southern Ontario so things are really mucky. I have been scrubbing and cleaning bowls and dishes since we have come home.

If you think she may have gotten into some moldy feed here is the flushes tread
