That’s a good course of action. Some things to have the vet check is if she has parasites or intestinal infection, an obstruction, or an internal mass.

The vet seemed very thorough, and felt down her digestive tract etc, asked us many questions. She seemed to think it was probably due to calcium deficiency. They gave us calcium to give her, and a force feeding tube and showed us how to use it.

what did the vet think about the lump in the neck?

She seemed to think it was natural, it might be. It's right on the lower front of the base of her neck

Thank you! Always learning here too. I've got 3 different water additives in her water trough right now for tonight. She's had one portion of force feeding at the vet, they say it's good for 8 hrs, so if she's not eating tomorrow morning, she gets another one. They taught me to put the tube down her right side of the neck, until it gently bumps the bottom of the crop. Then slowly pump the syringe of food down. It takes 2 people.

The water additives I've put in her water are Rooster Booster, Wellness Brew (for poultry, has a variety of herbs etc), and apple cider vinegar. I need to start adding a niacin supplement as well, soon.

We had the option for an xray, we were open to the idea, but I discussed it with my mate, and we didn't want to do it if it was unnecessary. If she doesn't start to get better, we can take her back. They did a fecal test, it was clear. We were given goose antibiotics to only give her if necessary as well. Put that in the cabinet, just in case for the future. My mate is convinced her behavior is phycological, perhaps it is. All we can do is give her some time and go from there.

During the day on days we are off work, she gets locked out from the cage and 'free range' to grass in the backyard.

Tonight after everything she is standing again at the water trough like a statue. This is so bizarre. I hope she gets over this soon.

Your doing a great job thank you for all the info. I use allot of roster booster products. Niacin is easy just buy the old fashion tablets for humans (not time released) and dissolve and add to there water. Other B's rooster booster has a Liquid B12 its great at a quick boost of energy. But there poultry cell is always a go to for me. My heart is with you... Spent over $1000 on April she is fine and now one of my best breeders at 5 years this spring. But was a long road her first year.

Nothing happens overnight. Takes time, April took almost 3 months to recover. Different issue but they are sooo worth it. To this day and can say WERE IS APRIL? and she answers. I respond April is a pretty girl and she answers back. Geese are amazing
