Sick Frick in the 'hospital'

vet wasnt sure unless i wanted to do blood work and find an avian specialist. That just wont happen. I really can not afford it. Well, at least not yet. lethargic, diahreah, fever, wont eat or drink, dehydrated, stopped laying. What I do know? Not laying internal, not sour crop, not egg drop, not cocci, not worms.

Yesterday afternoon she did seem to be perking up a little. Actually walked around the pen with the other girls. This morning she seemed down a little. I am on my way home to give her another Tylan50 shot and some fever reducer. still not out of the water yet.

5/29 - I am afraid I am going to loose sick Frick. I now know it is her crop. Squishy water baloon. I started her on the Monistat supository that I have heard works sometimes. I got a day and a half's worth done. She is just getting weaker and weaker. I have done massages two, three times a day. She is still getting around slowly. drinking water last night, but very little food. Syringing yogurt down her twice a day.

I am going to try the Monistat cream today and hope for moreintake.

Please pray for my little fighter. I cant bear to loose her. We have fought soooo hard at this battle. SO HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am going to try some more olive oil tonight with some massaging again. She is interested in food picking only and she seems better at night, but in the morning she is miserable, waits for me to take her off her perch and put her on the ground. She is walking around slowly in the afternoons, she just seems so weak. This iswhen she was healthy a few weeks ago.

Please give me a miracle... please?????

Did you try to empty the nasty stuff out of her?
I had a few with crop problems, it's just like puking, you need the bad stuff outta there!
Hold her in your lap, and gently squeeze the balloon while holding her head down.
Wait for her to catch her breath, and repeat, until the mass has gone down in size.
I think it's better than all that nasty goo trying to go thru her system...

I hope she feels better!
