Hello all! I have an 8 month old Blue Copper Maran who has been a little off the last 3 days or so. Kind of foraging, kind of self isolating. Just not as active and perky and not eager to eat treats. She has had clear watery poop since this has started and has not been laying. She has been drinking water with recover 911, and ive been feeding her mashed up layer crumbles. They have been treated for mites already. I think our SLW went through the same thing before this but perked back up after a day or 2. Any suggestions? Wondering if they ate something while free ranging (thinking parasites?). They free range maybe 1-2 hours a day. Pic attached, there was a little solid piece and the trail of clear stool behind it. I will add i see no other symptoms like sneezing, or worms. Comb is still fairly red not bold but not pale either.

If possible, take a sampling of poop to your vet for a fecal float to see if she needs deworming.

Between 5 and 7 days ago. I know the daylight is making them lay less right now too.

Perhaps.

They are 8months, so possibly will slow down for winter, it's hard to know.

So it turned out to be sour crop, as both of them were spewing rancid smelling juices. I did the isolation period the slw’s crop was empty and the blcm has a small dough piece that seems to remain. They have both been drinking water with ACV. I have also been giving them monostat the last 3 days or so twice a day. Both are still pooping mainly liquid but I think it’s less often. The slw’s dropping are starting to get more substance here and there. The maran os still foraging but no interest in food, mash, or scrambled eggs. I have been giving them 10cc’s of olive oil and massaging the crop gently too. Im less worried about the slw since she is at least eating. Anything else I should do to try to get the maran to eat? Dont want her starving. Her crop is almost completely empty when ai check in the mornings.
