This keet was hatched today. This is from the vent. Is this a prolapsed vent? Earlier it was a bright read with some poop on it. I did the warm rinse and non-medicated neosporin. What else should I do? Will the body absorb this or will he die?

My adult female today has been very quiet and slow moving. She seems fluffed up and swollen up. She did just lay an egg so she is not binded up. Anything I should do? I do not have another coop to separate her. Poop is normal. Just slow moving and not eating.

Thanks!

Keep that thing hanging out of the vent moist just in case it's intestine or something. If it dries out (and it is intestine or something) it'll die, and that's bad...

Update.....whatever is going on with the baby chick seems and looks to be getting better. My big girl is back to normal. There are lots of eggs this morning....maybe she was stopped up with eggs??

Still looking for suggestions/thoughts on these two birds
