Sick hen.. Any advice on what to do? Urgent!

Okay, I will check in the morning! And he put her on Sulfadimethoxine, Albon. I don't think she has Mereks disease.. she's not paralyzed and she gets around, she doesn't wobble. And she finally drunk by herself this evening.. I gave her some juicy worms she pecked at them for a short second.. idk how to even post a video on here, or even if u can.. I could show u more of how she was acting. I've never had anything sick as her before, and I've been around chickens my entire life.. I want to try everything I can to keep her alive.. but I don't want her to suffer. If she's not better in two weeks I'll probably have to put her down. She's so miserable.

Okay, the site seems to be fixed. It sure is frustrating when things go haywire.

You need to confirm if she has a crop disorder on top of an infection. If her breath smells as bad as her poop, she may need to be treated for a yest infection. Check her crop in the morning before you give her food and water. If it's still full and squishy, we have a yeast infection.

Let's see what her crop tells us in the mornign and go from there. What antibiotic has she been given?

If it's her crop, she can be better in just two days. A crop disorder can make a chicken very sick. But then so can a lot of other things. If it's bacterial, the antibiotic has that covered. If she has a crop disorder, we'll fix her up.

So, two days ago I went down to feed our animals. We have a huge fenced in lot, with a creek running through it.. we have chickens and ducks and occasional neighborhood buzzards hangout with our animals. (The city ran them down from the hospital, and to where I live. They're all over my neighborhood and usually hangout on people's houses, back yards, with dogs.. and such not just my animals. Everyone house..)

Well, one of my hen's wasn't looking alright.. I honestly thought she was dead until I touched her and she perked up some. Her head was held to the side, but she could move it around. She can walk.. but she had no appetite. I separated her from the others and brought her up to our house on the porch in a cage. I cant get her to eat.. but she has swelling on the side of her head. I took to vet and they mention mereks, but wasn't 100% sure what was happening. She doesn't show any other signs.. she is very alert and I've been giving her antibiotics.. but she's still the same.. I have to feed her with a medicine dropper.. and we can't do anything about buzzards because it's a bird sanctuary where I live, you can pull jail time for killing any in city limits. But, her symptoms include hsad crooked to side.. no appetite.. and running stool that smells horrid, and side if head swelled up.. She sometimes looked around like in a circle.. but she walks good. Just stands there kinda off and shuts her eyes.
No wounds of any kind, just soft tissue swelling..

The crooked neck looks a lot like wry neck. I had this happen to an adult hen once. I bought every safe healthy food from grocery with vitamin e, black oil sunflower seeds, and food safe vitamin oil from amazon. Put it the blender, added water to make a sort of pourage and mixed in grit. The vet and people on BYC told sometimes you’ll get a chicken who hasn’t been getting enough. I hope your pretty girl is ok. Oh with the bump, does it feel hot or throbbing?

I will message u in the morning whenever I check and let u know. I posted some short videos of how she looks basically. In that one video I was about to clean her cage and she started drinking and such. So, I had hope for a little bit. I raised her whenever she was a little chick.. she is the head hen and will also attack everyone and anything around. Even the neighborhood buzzards.. I thought it was an disease at first because we have Turkey buzzards that the hospital ran down to my area.. and they are everywhere in my neighborhood. I'll share a pic lol its horrible.. and they're always with our animals and neighbors.. for 3 years never had a problem with them.. besides messing on houses lol

I'm serious tho. Usually, there's 100's in my back yard.. and all over people's houses. Its illegal to kill any birds where I live, it's a sanctuary. So really not much we can do but set off fire crackers and scare away.. you can see why I thought maybe disease.. The vet told me they could easily bring stuff to my animals because of how many usually are around.

No, that's the strange thing. I thought maybe she hurt herself because she's pretty aggressive.. or one of our roosters done it. We got a new rooster, and he's young and he breeds the hens aggressively if he can sneak past our older roosters. But, I thought maybe.. I'm weird and have an security cam over my animals all the time.. and whenever I re watched the daily footage, I seen her just walk over and lay down.. up until I went to feed.. I don't know much about wry neck? What are the symptoms? And idk really what caused that knot.. :( my vet said soft tissue swelling.. she didn't like him touching it much.
