I am so sorry about your hen....
I have 2 hens with the same problem. Losing tons of weight and feathers, but they are still in good spirits. But mine are both 4 and a half years old.
I hope you are doing okay. It's really hard to lose chickens.

Sorry about poor Ginger. I think that when they molt, they are in a weakened condition, and are more prone to get sick. I know that every time someone molts, they get skinny and worry me to death. My skinny one right now, Lola, has been getting bread with raspberry jam as a treat. Makes me feel better.
