I'm sorry you lost your bird you worked so hard to save and you obviously loved.
There was nothing you could have done.
In retrospect, it may have been best to send her to your state lab for humane euthanasia and necropsy.
It would have saved a ton of money.

Yes, after she passed. He palpated her abdomen on examination.
It's hard to balance the emotional attachment with the biological mechanics. I learned a bunch about anatomy by slaughtering birds for meat that helped me learn why birds died.
