Sick hen

I have a sex link hen that is about 6 months old. She laid for about 2 weeks and now she hasn’t laid for 2 weeks. She is always laying down and seems very lathargic, always closing her eyes and sitting.

I have attached a picture of her poo and it seems very runny.

Is her belly bloated and puffy and/or hard? By the look of the poop she could be internally laying. I could be wrong it could be a number of other issues as well. Obviously she does not feel well. If you have a vet nearby I'd get her seen.

Symptoms of an internal layer with peritonitis can include:

• Yolk colored feces.
• Weakness.
• Loss of appetite.
• Lethargy/Depression.
• Swollen & spongy feeling vent area and/or abdomen.
• Respiratory problems.
• Fluffed feathers.
• Penguin stance; abnormal waddle.

Is she eating, drinking? Could be coccidiosis.
