Sick hen

It sounds like she's trying to pass an egg. Not sure though since I can't see her, and you're definitely doing the right thing. Hopefully we can figure this out she seems a little better today I'm gonna try a bath again tomorrow and some other things. Yeah we had some warm weather then BOOM back to cold, looks like it's gonna warm up though. We'll see!
I live in New Jersey (bordering on New York) and I wondered as well if she got sick due to the temperature change. It was warm, right, for a bit? then it snapped cold again. :( I have mine in a bath tub inside the house with a humidifier and heat lamp. She seems to be staying the same though. Her back side, around her vent, is VERY SWOLLEN.

Safeguard liquid for sheep is easiest to get and very effective. Worms can contribute to numerous illnesses in chickens. Worms can stress a chicken's system so they succumb to coccidia, sour crop, crop bound, vent gleet, blockages anywhere in the digestive system, liver disease....... and I am sure I have forgotten some things.

She looks so much better today! I'm not sure if she passed an egg or not. But that was definitely scary so I'm going to go out and buy some worming stuff. Thanks again every for your help!

In addition to worming, make sure she has access to fresh water and oyster shell.

I have multiple spots for them to get water, I also give them free choice oyster shells. I noticed their eggs we're not coming out right so I start to mix a little bit of oyster shells in with their feed.

Parasites will affect eggs. Thin shells, watery whites. If you don't want to do a worming, start giving oregano, black pepper, red pepper, cinnamon, and pumpkin seed (hulled and unsalted) regularly.

Also, if you can find a source, artemisia annua is a natural wormer. (Worm wood)
