If any member feels that they are being bullied in a thread they should hit the REPORT button and make no comments to or at the member that they feel is bullying them. Wait for a moderator to review the thread.

I wonder how many people have been bullied by a family member to the point they have nothing to do with that family member once grown and away from him/her....or there is irreparable hatred there.
I used to get bullied for being the "fat boy" in my class but one day I had enough. I learned to defend myself and others. In the process of defending people including myself I found that bullies for the most part are cowards. Case in point I taught my little brother self defense, and he's no big guy, he sent three bullies packing when he wouldn't back down and showed that he wasn't afraid of them. Stand your ground, better yet stand with a friend and bullying can be stamped out. I know this to be true because I've done it and you can too!

Right! I mean siblings fight, but when one is afraid to be at home because of getting verbally abused or beat by a sibling, then it has gone way too far and there is going to be some major psychological damage done.

Or, in my case, an awakening that allowed me to cut off the damage at the source, become independent, heal myself, and realize there was no benefit to me going back. Anyone else who thinks it's OK to keep picking on someone runs the risk of that someone doing what I did. I'm ok with that...but would you be? So avoid the drama -- be nice.

Bullies learn when they can get away with bullying you and where they cannot. Know when to stand your ground and once you have done it it gets easier and bullies respect only one thing and that is people fighting back. The teacher or the cops will not always be there.

have been bullied throughout entire life by other school kids,teachers,family etc,and as an adult in institutional/residential care [since twenty,am now twenty seven] have gone through serious abuse and bullying off fellow residents and support staff,to the point where police,major learning disability & autistic organisations have gotten involved to carry out investigations.
that is the thing with bullies,despite being able to physicaly handle self-woud not say face to face the worst form of bullying.
in own view [not saying everyone will feel the same],online bullying is-because the bully is hiding behind their screen anonymously knowing theres little chance their victim will be able to fight back...have experienced this many times,from one person especialy for a number of years,under many different accounts.
his bullying campaign had been the trigger of pyschosis,suicide attempts,SI,and one of the triggers behind severe major depressive disorder.
was diagnosed with the pyschosis and mdd last october and was told they woud have had no choice but to section if had not been living in secure residential care.
it has gotten to the point where support staff want to get police involved,had put off staff before only because was willing to forgive but he was still leaving nasty messages on user feedback on one forum,which just sends mental health diving again.
he plays the victim when cornered,like so many people with a bully mentality do,and he makes plenty of accounts to support himself and his role of victim.
bullies whether online or offline shoud always be reported,as long term bullies will really start to tear away at mental health.
regardless of whether they have a condition or bad life,there is no excuse to allow them to bully and take advantage,although it is good to offer some understanding of their issues/background.
always tell someone trustworthy its going on,when its left to go on,will get to the point where are to weak to report it.
