Sick or just bullied?

Are both of her eyes the same color? The high stepping might be something of concern or not. I would keep letting her visit with her flock, just to keep them familiar and so that she doesn’t get lonely.

Is her crop empty? Maybe you can encourage her to nourish herself by dampening her feed and offering her some egg as a treat.
It usually feels about half full, rarely all the way full and occasionally empty. I see her eating frequently. I’ll get her some eggs. Thanks!

They are the same color, both brown. Her walk and uncoordinated flight have been the same since I got her; she hasn’t gotten any worse. It’s been too cold to take her out lately; I let her and the two others her age out into the yard together and like to sit out there to keep an eye on them. On a nice day we’ll go out again.

How did your little chicken go? I found this thread when looking for answers for one of my girls who looks identical to your little one. The 3 other RIR I got at the same time as her are much larger than her and recently she's been hiding away from the flock and isn't eating and drinking as usual. I'm keen to hear how your girl went and if she recovered. Thanks!
