i have a peahen thats gasps for breath her eyes nose and lungs are clear she just stared it. it is 96 here i know that it is not the heat because it was 103 the other day and she was fine any ideas will be a big help

Has she been laying? It still could be the heat, i'm in FL and mine are panting!We have'nt even reached the upper 90's yet. I'm sure humidity has something to do with it. Try giving some cold fruits etc. to see if it helps. Does she have a spot she lays in? Is she stressed about something near that spot?
