Pepto has aspirin in it, which can be hard on stomachs. (I use lots of pepto, but you have to be careful with it.)

I owuldn give anything for 24 hours give his belly time to calms down just give peto

parvo is a baddd virus and can stay in the ground and ssuch for 7 yrs. if it has parvo the best thing to do is pump him with fluids and give him pedilite enemas every half hour. also some antidiareal i have found to help.
there is a product on the web called parvaid its great however not readily available. youd have to order it and if it is parvo he'd be dead or cured before it would get to you.
as mentioned above parvo has a coppery metallic smell to it badddd it is very distinct.there is also a bacterial infection that mimics parvo but still has a high death rate not half as bad but still very dangerous in both cases even with parvo give them some good brod spectrum antibiotics just to prevent a secondary infection.
hope this helps.

I know is after reading what these other people said : if ANY of my animals get sick again I am posting here cuz there are some great people that know a whole lot. I hope he gets better and

and prayers are sent your way.

I am not sure if he will let me take him. He usually doesn't budge on what he says.

I do have penicillian but that is it. I haven't had to use antibiotics on a horse in probably 2 years.

I am going to call the vet in the morning and get some of their advice as well.

Off to town to buy some pedialyte.....Say a prayer for him please...will be back to update later!

THANKS for your help so far guys!

It depends..... when my pup got it, he started in feeling "not good" on Friday night, threw up water Sat morning (and this is when we went to the vet) and the diarhea mess didn't start until Sunday afternoon. I didn't have a clue that it was parvo until the vet ran the test.

I hope your dog will be okay!!!. It's good that you are trying to find out what could be wrong and I hope you are able to do so in time. Clearly you want him to get well - you care for and about him and want to take him to the vet. I can't imagine being in your difficult position because I would not allow anyone - husband or anyone else - to tell me I couldn't get help for a being in my care if I felt such help was needed. I would not take any being under my wing [money maker or not] that I don't intend to get help for when clearly suffering and if I don't know what's wrong and how to treat myself [when sick we all know how every minute seems an eternity, poor little guy

]. Hopefully this pup just has a passing upset from something he ate or something else that's not life threatening but if he doesn't improve very soon, he shouldn't have to continue to suffer without experienced help. He's so young - if you are going to yield to the requirement that only income producers get professional medical care, please consider giving him to someone who does not hold to this philosophy. It would be the kindest thing you could do for him to try to ensure that he lives a long and full life. No need to respond to this - I know you want very much for him to get well and that it must be really hard to watch him feeling so sick. I'm sure you are monitoring him very closely so you can report all symptoms that may help in sorting this out. Sending many good wishes for a happy outcome here. JJ

I'm not trying to cause a problem between you and your husband, but I have to ask, if only the horses are allowed to have vet care, why do you have a dog? It's your duty as his care giver to make sure that he is treated with medical attention if needed. I do think some of the home remedies given on this forum are wonderful and they often work....but if they don't work, what will you do then?
