sick quail babies? violent head jerking, unstable, running into walls

How old is the food? If it is new and you bought it from the feed store try to call the company (that makes the food) there is a possibilty they could send you some eggs in return or something if they dont just say I belong to a website with thousands of people who would use this food and something might get out and those thousands of people could hear a word or two then they might put you on with there manager

If This Is Your Illness Its Likely Already Too Late... It Is Extremely Virulent And Contageous... They Have All Already Been Togather. Also Its Most Likely Its A Enutero Acquired Illness So If 1 Hen In Flock Has It??? Yep, You Guessed It= They All Have It, And They All Have The Ability To Pass It On To The Embryos. Very Bad Mojo This Stuff Is...

Best Course Remain Severe Biological Isolation And Wait And See.... It Wouldnt Hurt To Bump Everybody With Vitamin/ Electrolyte Water In The Fonts And Try Hard To Get Ahold Of Some Gbs Feed... Just To Rule Out Other Potential Reversible Causes.

A NEAT IDEA IN THEORY, BUT ITS THE WRONG FORMULA TO START WITH, SO EVEN IF IT WAS FEED CAUSING THE PROBLEM HE WOULD STILL BE ON HIS OWN FOR IT...

Okay. Thanks - I will try both of those things. I guess this means if there are survivors that I will not be expanding my flock any time soon.

Wouldn't want them to infect anyone else.

I hope this is not a stupid question ... if they survive, I cannot eat them or their eggs right? or rather, I shouldn't? I hate to put it this way, but I am interested in them as a food source first and pets second.

To The Best Of My Knowledge It Wouldnt Hurt Them As A Food Source If They Survive... Just Remember They Can Infect Many Other Birds In The Long Run. Try The Vitamin/electrolyte Therapy And Correct Feed 1st... Lets Rule Out Simple Reversible Stuff

haha. Thanks. like I said in an earlier post, i have GBS unmedicated on order but it won't be in for at LEAST a week. Is there any harm in using the medicated for awhile and switching them to the unmedicated? They have the GBS medicated 30% in stock and I can pick it up tomorrow.

I haven't been in contact with them. I don't know who they are - I can try to call my friend about it tomorrow but he is in a very isolated part of the state as far as cell service is concerned. I might not be able to talk to him for a week or more - when he comes back to town.

AT THIS POINT IN TIME I CERTAINLY DONT THINK THE MEDICATED WOULD HURT! LIKELY WONT HELP EITHER... BUT CERTAINLY CANT HURT IF AN INFECTIOUS DISEASE IS SUSPECTED
