I read the article. Very informative. I tried to help her throw up. Yelllow liquid came pouring out. I tried to do what it described, but she seems to be having a hard time breathing now. So I set her back in her crate.
By the way, my profile pic is Scarlet when she was healthy.

Your Scarlet is beautiful! I have a Scarlet too but she is a barred rock. i named her after Scarlet O'Hara.
I am at a loss of what to do for mine. I really thought my Coco would have been dead this morning. I am afraid she will be soon because I just don't know what else to do at this point. I guess I am going to continue with what I am doing. Her breathing is off now and yesterday she had a spell where she seemed to have fallen and couldn't get up. I tried to help her but she just fell back down and laid there until she was able to stand. These up's and down's really confuse me as to what could be going on. I hope your girl gets better.

Sounds like sour crop to me. I would separate her from the flock and put her on a gentler diet to clear up her system. Massage her crop once in a while.

Did you try to help her vomit?
Scarlet actually has been doing better since I did that, though, I still don't think she is eating very much.
Her comb is looking better and she isn't as lathargic.
She is drinking water, and my husband said she was least pecking at her good a little.

Thank you for asking but sadly Coco passed away yesterday afternoon I am heartbroken and even more so not knowing what was wrong. But I know that I tried to help her and she did get some yummy meals and lots of lovin during her last days.
Keep doing what you are doing and keep her drinking at least. Did you try some scrambled egg with molasses and garlic powder? Protein would be great for her to get her energy up. Good luck. I will be keeping her in my thoughts.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear this.
You did all you could to make her comfortable and I know she felt your love.
I tried egg the other day.
