My RIR rooster started sneezing a few days ago. Now he sounds congested and has trouble crowing. His eyes are clear nose is not runny and poo looks normal. He is eating and drinking and looks fine. Any ideas?

Welcome to BYC. Make sure there is no extreme dust or ammonia odor in your coop. Respiratory diseases such as infectious bronchitis or mild mycoplasma gallisepticum could cause his symptoms. Does he have watery eyes or face/eye swelling? Antibiotics such as Tylan,50 injections, Tylan Soluble Powder, Gallimycin, or Oxytetracycline can be used to treat some respiratory diseases. Most of these are contagious and will make carriers of survivors and flockmates. Here is some reading about those diseases: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ps044

Thank you for your reply. He doesn't have any swelling, watery eyes or nasal discharge. I will read the article you suggested.
