Sick Rooster, Please Help! (Video)

Very sorry. I had 3 birds die on me, acting the same way. (Nothing I could do. I tried)

Unless the rooster is very tame and trusting, force feeding is a last resort especially with a respiratory/throat problem. I would put him on broad spectrum antibiotics that can be added to the drinking water. Is he still drinking? Does he eat at all? A little sugar and vitamins added to the water could help.

I am sorry. If he is very weak he can not be force fed. If he can drink, mix up a little water with sugar (at this point don't worry about how much-quite a bit) and dip his beak in it. If he drinks,great-don't force it. Do you have any medications for poultry?

Can you get any Baytril (enrofloxacin)?

If he were mine I would start him on Baytril (enrofloxacin) and I would tube feed warm fluids at the rate of 14 ml per pound, wait 60-90 minutes and repeat if crop is clear or mostly clear, then give fluids one more time in 2-4 hours. Once hydrated I would start tube feeding food.

@AriadneCastro It could be gapeworms, all the signs are there. Can you take a fresh fecal sample from him and take it to a vet and have them look under a microscope for gapeworm eggs? That's the only way you'll know for sure.
What wormers do you have in Portugal?
