Can you check inside his beak for any lesions or canker?
I'd look again if you've already done that.

I'd also re-check the crop to make sure it's emptying.

He does not appear to have the lesions, the discharge stopped yesterday and he was back to eating and drinking water! Hopefully this trend continues. Thank you.
