Were you able to bring in a girl for a visit? Hopefully with water therapy he'll finally get over this. It's a tough decision to make as far as how much your willing to go through with one and when to say it's enough. I think you have done great in helping him and giving him a chance and you have seen some progress so you have to decide where to go from here. I would not put him in a position to have to defend himself because they will pick up on him not being healthy.I didn't think it would matter that much, we will start immediately with the ACV. We have Braggs. He uses the right leg more than the left in the water but he is using it more. This is such a slow process that it has me worried. I think, I don't know for sure but I think that a chicken at this point would either be better or have died.
No, he doesn't seem depressed but if I were another Sebbie, I might think so. LOL Being human, he seems ok to me. He doesn't seem to miss being with the others. He can hear them through the bathroom window and he doesn't call to them. I haven't even seen him look up toward the window when he hears them. I have been wondering about taking him outside to see if he wants to be out there. I don't think he could stay out there like this but at least I would know he wants to be outside. I do not think whatever is wrong with him is contagious, we have not been conscientious about making sure we wash our hands or changing our shoes or clothes after handling him.
It might be easier to bring one of the girls in to visit with him than to take him outside to them. Plus, there is one gander out there that used to beat the snot out of him. I had to tie that guy up to keep him off Jake. Now, we have 2 Chinese geese and one of them has taken alpha of the flock. I don't know if the other one would still try to beat Jake up but we can corner a girl tonight and bring her in for a little while.
