Sick silkie?

I've been following another thread about a silkie roo that didn't make it through shipping in the mail. The thread is "My shipped roo...". Check the newest post, 136, by Destiny 56085 who's been breeding silkies for 10 years. It talks about strange silkie symptoms, explains what might have happened and why the bird is acting that way, and suggests vitamin and mineral supports that she's found to help. I am very happy to report that Ms Fuzzybutt is doing MUCH MUCH better.

I still keep her in the house in a cage, and she still digs at her chest sometimes, but I think a dusting of poultry dust will help that. I think maybe she had a terrible case of mites, though we never did SEE anything. It just makes more sense that it was mites, b/c she had no appetite, was always sleeping, etc. BUT the advice I got from all of you about vitamins and electrolytes are probably what kept her alive. THANK YOU ALL!!!!

She also walks in circles sometimes, but hey! I can live with that. Still no egg, but again, after all she has been through, I can deal with that too:)
