well is it doesnt have the knots or scabs, you most likely dont have pox.
It starts as acne, or ant bit looking white heads, they turn black , scab over and then fall off. They will make a bird look horrible for a while, but as long as they can still breathe, they useually will survive ( wet pox is the most deadly because of being internal)

It is spread by mosquitoes and biting flies, then again by birds picking at each others scabs.

Try to post a pic and we will go from there.
As for the doseing yes, 1/2 cc for chicken 1 cc for turkeys is about right.
Also a little vitamin addative in the water never hurts!

And for both of you with the sicklies,
Check with you local vet and see if you have a U.S.D.A. Poultry Lab near by. If so, that is these guys job. They are government vets that work specifically on poultry. They can draw a little blood and do a little testing, and tell you exactly what the problem is.
I never new of them until a vet told me we had 2 within a hour of us, one wasnt 25 minutes away!
And the good thing is, so far I have never been charged by them for a single exam!
Cant hurt to check in. If you have chicken farms near you, these's a good chance you will have one of these labs too.

I always use the Tylan though
