I'm new to poultry, but from what I've read chickens can essentially give turkeys and other poultry blackhead. (They can both have the parasite, chickens don't get sick from it, but turkeys can die from it.)
I'm by no means a professional, but I've been giving my turkeys cayenne pepper in their feed as a preventative. I also put Diatomaceous earth in their feed. Google turkeys and blackhead for more information, if someone more knowledgeable doesn't chime in.
If it is blackhead, you need to act quickly.
