Sick with worry! HELP!

No! Not Brownie! I'm so sorry I know you did everything you could and she was definitely loved and cared for by you she was so lucky to have you! Did you save any pictures of her? Did you hatch any babies from her? I'm so sorry.
I wasn't able to do that. She came to us as a chick in July and we've only had a rooster for a few weeks. I have some pics on my phone and will attach a few of my favorites here. We're going to bury her this afternoon and in spring I'm going to plant something beautiful in the spot.

That must have been it. I'm heartbroken.
Yes, I can understand that you are. Brownie was very cute and you did all you could to help her. Sometimes there is nothing we can do as the damage is already done and too vast to be helped.

Maybe after recovering from your loss, you want to set up a separate little coop and get yourself some rumpless Araucana in the spring.

She looks so sweet I'm sorry she didn't live she is such a beautiful hen we bury all of our chickens too. Was she your favorite chicken?

My iPad glitched. I wanted to tell you how sorry I was that Brownie died despite all your efforts. She was a lucky girl to have such a loving mama. This is the worst part about raising chickens. You fall in love with them and then they succumb to various issues. I’ ve been there and know how sad you must be.

Thank you. That really means a lot! We buried her in the front yard and I'll plant something pretty there in the spring to remember her by. 🌸🌼🌻🌺

Yes, she was definitely my favorite because the others always seemed to shun her. She was the underdog, and yet she always ran up to greet me, and she was the only one who would run up to the fence to greet the dog. She was just a special little spirit.
