Hubby's ancestry is a bit complicated. He thought he was Irish on his mother's side of the family, but in tracing it back, there is strong evidence that the family name is actually a corruption of a French name that just winds up sounding Irish.

His family name is rather unusual, and for many years he's told people that it was Czechoslovakian (um, Hubby? That country hasn't existed for a couple of decades, and it was a thrown-together mishmash of ethnicities when it did?) Come to find out, the people of that name may have originally come from Germany, and moved to what is now the Czech republic. So that makes him, what?

It's funny, 505, I was thinking about you a few weeks ago. My family vacationed for a week down at Oak Island, and I ran through your neck of the woods every day running home to feed my critters!
