The spiders are out to get me you see....I killed two of them at work, small ones really...but then they sent the big nasty one after me....

And y'know, a rabbit would never consider electrocuting someone as a joke. We just don't get into pain. I backed into my electric fence one time when I was opening the gate. Had my right hand on the gate, hit the wire with my left leg. The jolt made me holler! Even through my jeans, it left a mark just below my knee that lasted for days. You can bet, I am really careful about which direction I move when I open the gate now!

Nope, no nightmares. I actually dreamed about chickens laying and hatching eggs.

But GOTTA SHARE!!!!! I got up this afternoon, went out to the pen to open the end of the coop so I could get into it to fix their nesting boxes (some one keeps taking the bedding out...MOMMA!!!). I got in the coop and noticed a hollowed out place in the pine shavings. Went over to investigate it and there was an egg!!!!

I crawled back out of the coop and Momma, who I suspect is who laid the egg, was standing there looking at me. She saw the egg in my hand and started bawking at me. I told her to hush up, that she was a good girl for laying that egg. She's the only one that has shown any interest in the coop during the day. BUT!!!! I looked under the coop to see where one of the other chickies was, and there it was!! Another egg!!! Laying right beside their water container. Looked over from it, and there was another one!!! I GOT 5 EGGS TODAY!!!!!! But wait...I only have 4 hens, so that means Momma laid her's yesterday. Cause I checked all around the coop this morning and got the only 2 that was there. I looked in the coop thru the wire but didn't see any eggs in it. So this afternoon, with these 2 under the coop, I know they were laid today. So by process of elimination, Momma must have laid hers in the coop. I don't care. I am sooooo happy!!!!

A good day here also.

I got my first "tree face" done and up. A learning experience.
I used styrofoam for the parts covered by duct tape and then
painted.

Stuck to the tree with caulking. Not into nailing things to my trees.

The styrofoam I can bend to match the tree, so I need something
flexible there. The eyes, nose and such I can use wood in time.

I'll see how this works.
