*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

It remains the duty of all parents to embarass their children and delight their grandchildren with their antics. I can still hear my SIL saying to my daughter, "Kelly, can't you get him to stop?", and her reply, "Jer, it's my father.

"

Yes, Kelly, it is.

The Comrade said that once. I just looked at him until he sighed and said, "Yeah, forget I asked."

It is true, I can dance Austen-style with the best of them, although I prefer contra-dancing to English Country. You know what annoys me, though? Whenever you go to one of those dances, they're usually put on by the more conservative, patriarchal types, so the boys are supposed to ask the girls. Well, nobody ever asks me!

So I end up asking THEM to dance with me. They grin and say sure while their mothers look on in horror.

Tani this is a little touchy (pun intended), but what is it with that grabbing move? Are they afraid they lost or misplaced something? This old man finds it to be offensive and just does not get it.

You ain't the only one that finds it offensive. I frequently hear DD say, "Awkward" when she's watching music videos. Gangnam Style got at least 6 "awkward"s and a couple "That's just gay"s on first viewing, if I recall. But as for the grab - with the rest of the wild gyrations, maybe they're afraid something will fall off?

Or they're hoping for a surprise?

Well, now, isn't that a surprise.

NOT!

My daughter had an incredible 'crush' on MJ. Tried to convince her that would never go anywhere.

DD and I were in a store a couple of weeks ago, and some early hit by The Jacksons came on the in store sound system. I remarked that that was a familiar voice, and when I told her who it was, she said, "that's a guy?" "Maybe," I said.
