*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

Sour, each species of frog or toad has its own breeding season. Spring Peepers can be heard calling in early winter around here, but we don't hear Bullfrogs until at least June. Squirrel Tree Frogs don't usually start calling until we start getting those summer thunderstorms - some people call them "rain frogs" because of that.

Well, life sure has it's ups and downs doesn't it?

I've been waiting for this thread to make the 17,000
number. Some I was looking forward to.

But not for this reason.

Now my mother is in the hospital. Knew she hadn't been
feeling well. Went over yesterday to find her laying on the
floor.

Packed up her and took her to the hospital.

And they kept her.

No real ideal yet of the issues. Running tests, waiting for
results.

Seems like I just went through this. Doesn't get any easier.
Walking the hall, pacing the floor. Looking out the window.
Those of you who've been there know what I'm talking about.

Took her to the emergency room, hung out all evening. They
finally admitted her. I got home about 1:30 last night. Woke up,
making phone calls.

Talked with mom...they will keep her at least today and tomorrow.
She didn't want me to come back yet. Hospital is 100 miles north
of me. (200 mile round trip)

So I guess I'll just stay here today.

Walk back and forth on my own floor.

Waiting.

Meanwhile, you've all seen me do this before. If I'm out of action
for a day or two, you'll know why. I've got a mom to watch over.

One of you guys will have to make that 17,000 post for me.

Spook....things on his mind again.

Spook,

, thinking of you. I know what you're going through. Becoming the 'parent' to your parents is the most difficult thing that the Princess and I have ever done.

Spook, you have my number, and I'll be keeping it in my pocket over the next few days.

Sour, I am not a frog nor a toad, but as far as why...well, do you feel frisky when you're freezing? I sure don't.
