I feel old today. I went to a wedding yesterday, for a guy I've known my whole life (he's only four years older than me.) It was beautiful... He cried during his vows, and again at the reception. His bride was gorgeous, lovely dress, big smile, dancing to old songs (like Love Shack) and new songs (like Gangham Style!) Wow. Everyone was laughing and crying, glasses clinked, music played... A fantastic wedding.
Driving to Vicksburg today.

The wedding sounds lovely, Tani. But watching your friend/sibling/cousin getting married doesn't make you old - watching their kids get married, or your kids (or grandkids - not that I'm even close to that yet!) - then you'll be able to claim "old" status!

ARG!!!

Do you all REALIZE that every day is now SHORTER!

Last night sunset started at MIDNIGHT!, midnight! Since when does the sun go down so early? Sure, sure, it still takes an hour for the sun to set completely....but DARKNESS, there is DARKNESS!. At 2am Alaskan truly could not see anything!

HELP! Several more minutes of sunlessness every single day! We are shooting straight down!

And I haven't even started stocking up on wood yet...

As a kid I would go into a major depression as the daylight shortened. It wasn't approaching snow that I feared. It was SCHOOL. The strange Sourland did not much enjoy school and associating with others. Humans as a group are really strange. I am much more at home with the normal types who inhabit the Kingdom. The question remains - 'Are we real or has Em created us and this kingdom in her mind?' Perhaps temporary queen Wisher has the answer?

But, as long as we do not turn into fig newtons, we shall be just fine.

But I like fig newtons. I wouldn't mind if everyone turned into fig newtons.

But, Sour, if we were fig newtons, and you ATE US, then, there would be no one left for you to play with.

Also, you would be so tempted to eat yourself.

Hmmm? There are always newcomers who could become Fig Newtons.

Okay, I would mind if some of the inhabitants turned into Fig Newtons and I was required to eat them.
