*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

Pfft! "Come into my parlor . . . ." Like I haven't heard that one before?

On quite a different note, it's the first day of school here. My son drove himself to school for the first time ever. Yes, my child is soloing on the roads that have the highest collision records in the state.

I well remember when I began to (legally) drive.

I don't know if I'll be able to let my daughter ever get
a license. She'll have to settle for driving her golf cart
everywhere.

So Bunny...just pad your son up real well and let him
drive. I have some extra race car helmets. Shall I send
you one?

Spook, did I ever tell you that when he was in Kindergarten, my son's ambition was to be a Nascar driver? He wanted a go cart for his birthday. My reaction was, "over my dead body!" The next year, I wasn't even in the loop; Critter bought him a go cart. He tore the place up with it for a couple of years. He rolled it over once - the scrapes and bruises he got from that little adventure awakened his sense of self preservation, though it was growing heavy enough that all the bumping around made his seat sore that caused him to sideline it. He's awfully good at driving-type video games, though of course, those are wrecks that you walk away from.

For two morning in a row, I've had to wait for people to stop and let me out onto Market Street because traffic is backed up past our neighborhood (accident somewhere, I can guarantee it).

Shortly after our son started his driving 'adventure', he ditched his car on a bend on our road. It was a good way to learn the vagaries of driving and just how quickly an accident can happen. Glad that yesterday went well for your son.
