*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

Well...I guess the summer can't last forever...

In Alaska, the first snow is generally in October.
Only weeks away in reality. Quickly coming.

The earliest recorded snow in Alaska was on a nice
September morning....September 5th, if I remember right.
Only a few mere DAYS away....and my alamac says another
early winter.

Are you bundled up there, Big Buddy?

Spook...who lives where it is STILL warm.

Quite warm here in NJ - first snow in perhaps 3.5 months. Snow coming to Alaskan in approximately 2.5 weeks. Way to go, snow lover!

Yeah...I hope Alaskan can still find her parka.
...and the snowsled...and all sorts of nice wintery
stuff.

LOL...

Spook...not even EXPECTING snow this winter. Oh,
HOW will I ever survive...?

Spook, I think that it is time to look for and prepare all the winter necessities and 'fun' stuff. Alaskan has experience and will be prepared.

What was it called those rats, or mice or some little
creature? Voles...moles.

Now she has to catch them all again and put them
back in the house for the winter.

They are called voles, Spook, and I don't think Alaskan has to catch 'em. I think they come in of their own volition

Voles, lemmings, rats, mice and all others are fully aware of the approaching snow. Their bags are packed, and their annual migration to Alaskan's home has begun.
