*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

That cake looks very tasty. I think I need a mop for the puddle of drool I just made. Do any of you have a mop?

No mop, I'm afraid. Just a shovel, which I probably ought to trade for a mop. Sad but true, I fail at being the Poop Patrol.

The second parade was this evening; start time was 5:30. It was Blondie's turn to fall off the trailer; forward and backward are both viable means of exiting the trailer, but sideways just doesn't get it. Fortunately, she was uninjured.

By some miracle, we didn't have any noisy vehicles near us. There were firetrucks and motorcycles, but they were way, way ahead of us. Good thing, too. Immediately in front of us was a group of "bigs," and a couple of those horses were scary! They did most of the parade sideways - that they didn't fall on some of the brick sections may have involved divine intervention.

Betsy's blanket has developed a loose connection in one of the light strings; I need to get that sorted before our next outing. She started out spooking at manhole covers as before, but near the end of the parade, she walked right over one that was nearly as wide as she is tall. Good girl! I don't think she likes my driving, though; she was a little reluctant to board the trailer for the ride home.

Syd was much better this time out. Baby

held onto her the entire trip, and as she said, "Syd wasn't scared, she was just being hardheaded." She was being pushy and pull-y, but not totally wigging out.

Which left me pulling the little cart of tools for the removal of the sort of deposits that inevitably occur with large animals. Unfortunately, on the couple of occasions when it was necessary to get said tools out, I wasn't able to get more than a few "road apples" cleaned up before I had to scamper to catch up with the group. Maybe we need somebody else on doo-doo duty?

The next one is Saturday, and in the mean time I am going to be fashioning myself a new tail. (The feather boa one is looking kinda ragged)

Well, if you're gonna do, overdo. That's always been my motto.
Okay now I got to pay a few hundred bucks to the owners of this house. Let's see, the broken window, the damaged floor, the caved in roof, the melting snow on the floor. Thanks a lot Sour.
