*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

Around here, it's pretty well understood that there's not much point in asking questions that begin with "why," because you probably don't really want to know the answer. But, really, sometimes, you gotta wonder . . . .

Like what happened tonight. Actually, this started a couple of days ago, when DS dropped an unopened can of Pepsi. The can's top bulged out a bit, but DS knew about the messy potential of a shaken can, so he carefully set it aside in the pantry. So far, so good. But today, for some reason, BB2K just had to open it - just a teensy bit, apparently, to see what it would do. I can understand her curiosity, but the rest has me stumped. The can had had a couple of days to settle down, so I guess it just hissed a little bit - a bit disappointing, perhaps. Now, BB2K doesn't even like Pepsi, so she didn't drink it, she put it in the refrigerator. Not in the door, mind you, but on a the front of a shelf, and placed so precariously that, when I went to put something else on the shelf a little while ago, this can was dislodged and fell off the shelf onto the floor in front of the fridge. Evidently there was plenty of fizz left in the can, because it erupted in a fine spray that shot at least 5 feet in the air. It managed to cover me and the inside and outside of the fridge, and a good bit of the kitchen floor, before I managed to get both hands on the thing and deposit it in the kitchen sink. I needed a shower anyway, but I really didn't intend to take one in cola. I mopped up what I could, but I'm too tired to deal with the rest of it. The whole fridge is going to need to be emptied out and wiped down tomorrow; I think I got the floor well enough that it won't be sticky when it dries.

I hate cleaning up pop spills. I had a client throw her pop accross the table. Knowing she wouldn't be able to clean it, I got to do the honors.

Why? yes, I love that word. My DH seems to always ask that when I ask him to wash the car, mow the lawn, take out the trash or actually do much of anything!
But on to your soda accident, seems that stuff like that happens when you are never suspecting an issue. I woke up in the middle of the night to make my bladder gladder which is more and more often as I age
and stepped in something not so pleasant. And of course then I tracked all over the carpet in my half sleep all the way to the bathroom. Thinking it was just a hair ball from one of
our 4 cats I was not to concerned. Until I turned on the light and then got a wiff. Nothing like cleaning up that stuff at 2:30 am. Always something.

What about the ceiling? You gotta get that too!
I'm not sure even a Mentos could get a 12 oz can to shoot high enough to hit the ceiling. Good thing, too - it's textured. Don't you know that would be a bear to clean up!

And the floor is sticky this morning. *sigh* One more thing on the "Bunny-do list."

But hey - I found 2 opened cans of Cherry Coke lurking, waiting, poised to attack the unwary. Ha!
